I spent a week in Buenos Aires. Dashed over to El Tigre and San Ysidro which I highly recommend. I already have plans to go back to Argentina to check out more country side, less city side.
We went to a futbol game. Fortunately or unfortunately, The Boca Juniors weren’t playing the week we were visiting. The day before we arrived, fans of the Boca Juniors broke out in fights and the fans, known as The Boca 12 (like the 12th player on the team) were in bad trouble.
If you have a chance to go to game, I say go for it. We went to The River Plate game. Most excellent!

Why I want to go to this place
I would love to live and work a winter season at one of the ski resorts. I hear the snow is unbelievable. I’d also like to experience warm weather as well though. I better plan the trip right! haha

A tip I have about this place
If you’re a vegetarian, don’t go. Or consider taking a leave of absence from vegetarianism … simply because Argentina has the best steak in the world (forget about Kobe).

It is eternal like water and air I judge…” (Jorge Luis Borges)

I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a year while I was working there. It’s a lovely place to live or visit, the people are awesome and I loved the culture.

Why I want to go to this place
So, last summer Argentina did not happen. It nearly did, but I backed out at the last moment when I found out that there is a high trend of anorexia there. I became incredibly self-conscious when I heard this and nixed the plan.
I regretted it so much.
So, this summer, I am either going to attempt to move down there by myself and just hang out, learn the language, and maybe find a job doing translations/teaching English/working somewhere, etc or I may au pair somewhere else or stay in Atlanta and take classes. BUT – Argentina is still on the list at the top. We’ll see what happens from here.

Why I want to go to this place
In my job I interact with people in Buenos Aires every day. I have developed many long distance friendships with them. The people here are so nice, friendly, and fun. It is my goal to go here this year and meet the many friends I have made.

The first time I went to this place
Argentina is such a beautiful country! I spent a summer there during college, and it was fantastic. Most of my time was spent in Buenos Aires, but I did some travelling outside of the city. I would like to one day return and travel the pampas.
