Undefined
Vegas is just undefinable. The food, the shows, the gambling is all bigger than life. Although it has done little to shed much of the ‘Sin City’ stereotype, you can enjoy yourself regardless of your gambling or boozing preference. Driving into the city at night and seeing the ‘Searchlight’ come into view is just something you have to see to appreciate.

Spectacular!
I spent one weekend here over new year, and that was not long enough! Unfortunatly me and my family tried to cram everything into this small amount of time however it was a very great trip and i got to see so much! I will definatly be going back once im 21 however i wouldnt really recomend it to anyone for new year, everything was JAMPACKED and they closed alot of streets which made it very difficult to get back to hotel. Apart from that a fantastic time!

Vegas...
Was just there for a week… again. We live 3 hours away and go about once or twice a year. I guess the value of the casinos has now worn off now because we didn’t go to one casino this last trip, except for a buffet or two. Redrock Canyon & Valley of Fire are must see’s if your more into hiking and things of that nature. Just don’t plan to do any hiking in the summer, temps reached 117 while we were there!!! We did Lake Mead and Hoover Dam as well. The bypass road was almost complete, with about 40 feet left to build in the arches before they met in the middle. It was quite a sight (7/09). The Dam Tour was very imformative and fun, traveling through underground tunnels and such.
We googled free things to do in Vegas and found a ton of things that are either free or near free. Was a good thing to do and kept us entertained without spending a ton of money as well.

Why I recommend this place to visitors
I’m neither a heavy drinker, nor a gambler, so my expectation was that Vegas would be fun but that I would be pretty uncomfortable the whole time. Not so! The hotels are so lavish and incredible, and just laying by some of the amazing pools could take up all of your time. Vegas was just downright fun. In the end, though, it was a huge sensory overload, so I’m thinking that three days is my max. I started to get a bit jaded at the end thinking about all the water, food, and decor that gets wasted, not to mention just the uber-consumption going on. Still, I’d go back for another three days….
One thing I wanted to see, but didn’t get to is the Fremont District. I hear it’s really fun for those of us “non-gamblers” who want to still join in, and much cheaper, with things like penny slots still around. Can’t wait to see it next time!

I’ve been to Las Vegas so many times I’ve lost count and every single time leaves me wanting to come right back. The strip is beautiful! There’s so much to do and never enough time. Even if you dont gamble or drink, there’s still plenty to do. Though it has changed since the first time I’ve been here, it doesnt seem “kid friendly” anymore since they’ve taken out most of the arcades… there still is M&M world and the huge arcade under it. Oh and Circus Circus as well as Excalibur.
