Cavite

I had the chance to visit Cavite with my wife and kids back in Ddecember 2004. My wife is from Noveleta and we were planning a return trip this year, but things came up. Maybe next year! Life in Cavite is totally different from life in San Diego, CA!

Intel sent me here to do some training for the manufacturing site. The people were very friendly. This was in the last 90s.

My husband’s parents are from this place (Tanza & Cavite City) & my father-in-law claims their family is descended from one of the 13 martyrs of Cavite. He’s probably just joking, but they do have a street in Cavite with the same last name as the family, so I may have to do some research. Also, my mother-in-law often tells me stories about her town, so I’d love to go & visit the extended family from there.

but I left when I was about a year old, so i don’t know too much about the place. i did go back to visit when i was about 10 years old. it is very different from where i live in the US, and i did enjoy the culture and returning to my “roots”, from what i could remember. also, very humid.
